There is a feeling of wonder and magic that can come with encountering something new and seemingly inexplicable, beautiful and tantalizing.

Sometimes there is an elegantly simple explanation for the seemingly incomprehensible.

Sometimes, with understanding something better, the feeling of wonder expands.  Things which look to come from some other world are shown to come from this one, and be as much a part of it as we are.

Sometimes, knowing a little means that there is obviously so much more to know.

The Underwater space and its creatures tick all those boxes for me.  It is especially so with creatures that may, by name, be unappealing, but whose appearance and internal mechanics or behaviours, are intriguing, jaw-dropping! It is a place where gravity seems to be suspended, a lighter, less weighty place where movement can happen in ways my own body can only dream of.  In other words, it is ...... Otherworldly.

I also enjoy looking at Reality from a mental distance.

Over the centuries, people have looked for the pattern in their messy lives. Exploring that which is so “old-hat” from a philosophical viewpoint, feels very new when you are the explorer, and the life explored is your own.

Join me in this Other World....
